Loan Options

Stafford Loans- 6.8% fixed simple interest last year. New interest rates will be announced in June. Repayment begins 6 months after the date the student is no longer enrolled at least 1/2 time, or graduates. Visit our Stafford Loan Information webpage for more info.

The College Access Loan (CAL)-This program provides low-interest loans to Texas residents who need assistance in paying for their education. The current fixed interest rate is 6% and has a limit of $10,000 per year. However, if additional funding is available, we will certify additional amounts. For more information or to apply, please visit www.hhloans.com. Please note, the CAL and HELP loan take at least 5-8 weeks to process. You may check the status of you loan by calling the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board at 1-800-242-3062 ext 6404. Visit our CAL Information webpage for more info.
